Teenagers Abroad Summer Camp Program in Barcelona - Learn Spanish - Spanish Courses

Study abroad, learn Spanish & enjoy your summer in a truly magnificent city!

Spain’s second largest city, Barcelona, is located on the Mediterranean coast of the Iberian Peninsula in Northeast Spain. Barcelona has more than 2 million inhabitants and is the capital of the Catalonian Region. The city is so diverse that it has two official spoken languages - Catalan and Spanish.

Antoni Gaudí helped create the exciting, colorful and stylish city of Barcelona. The ‘Barrios Gótico’ and ‘Las Ramblas’ are delightfully intriguing neighborhoods for art lovers and travelers.

Much of Barcelona’s history can be found in the Gothic Quarter (‘Barrio Gótico’), which is an old town district. Many Gothic monuments, beautiful historic buildings and modern institutions can be found in this area. Modern art and theater lovers refer to the Gothic Quarter as the ‘Mecca of Spain’ because of the influence of great artists like Picasso, Miró and the famous 'Sagrada Familia'.

During the summer, Barcelona hosts many festivals, such as the ‘Grec Festival’, classical music festivals at the Palau de la Música, and the ‘Mercé’ celebration for the patron Saint of the city.

Barcelona also offers many relaxing opportunities, such as parks and gardens. If you want to take a trip outside of the city, there is a beach just 25 minutes away, there is also a mountain range just behind the city. In the winter months it’s possible to ski on the La Molina slopes, which are about 90 minutes away.

We off plenty of time during our Barcelona Summer Camp Program to discover Spain, its culture, customs & traditions!
