After German courses are over for the day, we offer plenty of time during our Berlin Summer Camp Program to discover Germany, its culture and customs!
• Cultural Opportunities
• Museums
• Historical & Architectural Sites
On most excursions, students will be accompanied by a teacher or representative of our language school in Berlin. This is done for mainly two reasons; the first being supervision and safety of the students, and the other is to build a strong relationship between teachers and students. This ensures a better learning atmosphere and allows for the students to feel more comfortable asking questions, hence understanding the culture, traditions and citizens of Germany better.
Students will have the opportunity to visit many beautiful cathedrals & churches, art galleries, museums, and many festivals & markets. Also, students can tour Postdam and explore its many beautiful parks and castles. Other opportunities in Berlin include: the cafes & restaurants or visiting one of Berlin’s many clubs.
Jewish Museum:
This fascinating museum details Berlin’s Jewish community’s history, which was the world’s largest community of such at one time.
The Berlin Wall Memorial:
The Berlin Wall Memorial reminds us all of the heroism of East and West Berliners during those tragic years that the wall stood. The memorial also includes the city's only unadorned stretch of border fortifications and a superb museum.
Currywurst Museum:
An entire museum dedicated to the city's favorite dish... currywurst! This feel good museum uncovers the true story of why currywurst is such a beloved food in Berlin and throughout Germany. The souvenirs and free samples are worth the entrance fee alone!
Reichstag:
The Reichstag is the building that hosts the German parliament, the Bundestag, since 1999. Vistors may enter the Reichstag, take tours, or just look around. The top of the building offers an amazing panoramic view of Berlin!
Olympic Stadium:
Not only is this stadium one of the most beautiful sports facilities in the entire world, it's also one of the most famous! The stadium is used by the local soccer team, for concerts and special events. When there isn't a show, the stadium can be toured by visitors.
Brandenburg Gate:
The Brandenburg Gate one of the most symbolic statures from the Cold War ear. Now this great doorway epitomises German reunification.
