London’s Climate:
The climate in London is moderately mild and generally comfortable throughout the year.
During the wintertime, temperatures can drop down to around 6°C.
During the spring & fall, temperatures are usually around 11 - 15°C.
The summer time is particularly wonderful with temperatures usually hovering around 20°C.
London's Culture & Traditions:
There may not be any other city on this earth that was more culture than London. Throughout the year, there are countless festivals, art exhibits, music events, museum exhibitions and much much more! London is home to over 300 different nationalities, who have molded the city’s culture into the international center that it is today.
The British are known world-wide for their after work parties at their bars and pubs. Locals will stay at their favorite pub until late into the evening to watch their local football (soccer) team. To locals of the city, there is nothing better than fish and chips, a cold pint and a great soccer match to enjoy with friends!
London, is also known for its thriving musical scenes, artistic environment, world-leading financial center, and world-class shopping. Along with New York, Paris and Milan, London rounds off the “big four” fashion capitals of the world. Some of the most famous designers in the world are based out of London, for example: Vivienne Westwood, Stella McCartney, Burberry, and John Galliano. Twice a year the London Fashion Week takes place, which attracts all of the most significant people in the fashion world!
Department stores are also quite popular in London. Some of the most well known and most visited stores include: Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, and Harrods.
