Each afternoon and evening after your Italian courses, there will be a variety of recreational activities scheduled for you. Teenagers Abroad organizes a great recreational program that many of our previous students from the language school in Rome considered to be the best part of their study abroad experience!
Some evenings we take the entire group of students to the cinema for a fun movie night. Quiz nights and international kids’ parties are also planned to give students the perfect opportunity to get to know other students from all around the world. During these activities, you’re sure to meet new interesting friends and practice (improve) your Italian language skills outside of the classroom.
Also while in Rome, students are encouraged to tour this magnificent city. The capital of Italy offers an endless number of interesting places and sites to discover. There is more history in the streets of Rome than perhaps any other city in the world; for example, the Roman Empire, St. Peter’s Basilica, the Vatican and much more.
Not all history has to be explored with the eyes, Rome also has a rich history of exquisite Italian foods. Around the city there are numerous pizzerias, cafes, and restaurants that offer some of the best food you’ll have ever tasted!
Around the various piazzas in Rome, you can really get a feel for the mentality of the Italian people. You’ll get to experience firsthand the fast pace and crazy city of Rome!
Our excursions associated with our Teenagers Abroad summer camp program in Rome vary depending on dates, but some examples of excursions could be trips to nearby towns and regions, or to the Tyrrhenian coast to see the stunningly blue Mediterranean waters.
