Regardless of the location, when participating in a study abroad summer camp program from Teenagers Abroad, feeling safe and “at home” is an essential part to having success during the learning process. If students feel comfortable when they're in their accommodations, then they can focus all of their attention to their English course work.

If you choose to stay with a host family in St. Paul's Bay, then you will stay in a triple bedded room with a genuine Maltese family. Full board will be provided to you, which includes of 3 meals per day (including a packed lunch).

It is important to note that host families in St. Paul's Bay often do not live near the language school's campus; however, the campus is still reachable by walking.

Although, you won't be living directly on campus, living with a host family in St. Paul's Bay is, without question, the most effective way to full immerse into Maltese culture and the English language.

Facilities when living with a Host Family in St. Paul's Bay include:

• Students travel to & from school independently
• Host families live less than 15 minutes from the language school

Services when living with a Host Family in St. Paul's Bay include:
• Weekly cleaning
• Bathroom towels (students should bring beach towels from home)

Important Notes:
Formal supervision may be limited to students living with a host family in St. Paul's Bay. Students will be required to walk to & from school independently every day.

Usually, a host family member will escort the student to the language school on the first day of his/her English courses. Once the student has learned the way, they will be expected to travel alone to the language school using directions given to them by the host family.

Once all English courses and scheduled activities are finished for the day, students must return to their host family accommodations for a meal at dinner-time. Only with prior signed parental consent are students permitted to leave in the evenings and/or on the weekend.

Host families in St. Paul's Bay may enforce all house rules and curfews. If students do not obey the host family members, the curfew times and/or house rules, they will lose their rights to go out.

Typically, host family accommodations in St. Paul's Bay are recommended for young, independent students - usually between 15 & 17 years old. Outside of organized activities and English courses, adult supervision may be extremely limited. Therefore, students must have a decent level of maturity, confidence and international travel experience before booking this accommodation option.
