The exciting & stylish city of Barcelona offers a wide variety of colourful and intricate architecture created by, the world famous, Antoni Gaudí. The "Barrio Gótico" and the pedestrian street "Las Ramblas" make this city a traveller's and art lover's paradise. Its history is beautifully reflected in these famous neighbourhoods.

Barcelona hosts many festivals during the summer months. These include the "Grec Festival" at the Theatre Grec, classical music festivals at the Palau de la Música at the end of September, and the very important "Mercé" celebration, which commemorates the patron Saint of the city.

Our Spanish program, "our most popular summer program" is held in two different campus locations depending on the dates which you would like to attend.

From June 28 - August 16 Summer 2009:
We take over a beautiful University campus in one of the best and safest zones of Barcelona, next to Avinguda Diagonal the core of Barcelona's shopping district and Francesc Maci / Maria Cristina squares, both vibrant parts of the city. This area is also home to several universities and is commonly referred to as "Zona Universitària".

Our campus offers excellent modern facilities including: large air-conditioned classrooms, modern buffet dining room, computer room with internet access, library service, student social lounges & study rooms, and many bars and restaurants in the area.

From August 16 - onwards Summer 2009:
Our program is held in our all year round Spanish school in the heart of the city in "El Barrio Gothico" next to the Cathedral!

Our is School is located on a main street and only a 5 minute walk from the well known "Las Ramblas” district a wonderful, vibrant part of the city where street vendors and performers vie for your attention.

STUDENT FEEDBACK

"I had the best time. The team leaders were wonderful.

Barcelona is the best. Kids were great from all over the world. The lessons were very good. There was ample freedom to explore. The dorm residence was closeby and accomodations were great. I would have liked to have a fan in the room as it was very hot".

CARSON K. (age 16)

________________________________

"I had an amazing time. I met some really great people and got to see a different side of the world while being immersed in the language.

I would definitely recommend this program to anyone who wants to do something memorable, exciting and even educational! Living in the residence was very fun. Having a maid and a chef everyday made it feel like you were almost in a hotel - but not!

I really liked my teacher, but I think the organization of placing students into different levels could use improvement. For the first week i was in a class with kids who were pretty low level of Spanish, and with some who were way better. The slower kids tended to slow the class down".
