Chinese courses for all language skill levels can be booked at the Teenagers Abroad Chinese summer camp for teens in Beijing, China for 2, 3 or more weeks from June through August.

In our supervised program Chinese summer camp program, we offer Chinese courses on a supervised campus with a full program of chaperoned activities & tours for teens. During this program, participants stay at our residence in Beijing, China and their meals are included.

Our Teenagers Chinese Summer Camp Program for teens in Beijing, China includes Chinese courses, airport transfers (arrival Sunday, departure Saturday), insurance, emergency & pre-departure support, as well as a bilingual staff with a 1:15 staff to student ratio.

It is just impressive! Our Chinese summer camp school is centrally located within the Imperial Gardens in the Wen Hua Gong, the cultural Palace of Beijing, surrounded by the silence of the Forbidden City. Tiananmen Square and Wangfujing (the famous shopping street) are just a short walk away.
The Chinese courses at our Chinese summer camp language school in Beijing, China place a strong emphasis on communicative methods of learning, which means that students will actively be speaking Chinese through role-play and other activities. Teachers do their best to incorporate current affairs of all topics into their Chinese course lesson plans. Newspaper articles, radio broadcasts, and TV programs are often used as learning tools. Teens will benefit from a friendly classroom atmosphere and small class sizes by getting lots of personal attention from their teachers.

Our Chinese Summer Camp Program in Beijing, China includes:
• Class size: 15 Students max.
• Chinese Courses for all language levels - starting on Mondays
• Teachers are qualified & native speakers of Chinese
• Language certificate or academic credit given at the end of the program
International Student Body of the Chinese Courses in Beijing:
We expect that more than 55% of students attending our Teenagers Abroad Chinese Summer Camp Program's Chinese courses in Beijing will be European. 7% of our teens will come from the United States.
Receive Academic Credit:
Unfortunately it is not possible to receive transferable credits from Brookhaven College (if required) for taking Chinese courses in Beijing at the Teenagers Abroad Chinese Summer Camp.

A typical day during our Chinese Summer Camp Program includes:
• Breakfast: 8:30 - 9:30am
• Chinese Courses: 9:30 - 12:30pm
• Lunch: 12:30 - 2:00pm
• Organized sports, activities, workshops, etc: 2:00 - 4:00pm
• Free/ leisure time: 4:00 - 7:00pm
• Evening meal/ evening activities: 7:00 - 11:00pm
• Lights out: 11:00pm
Nightly Curfew: 11:00 pm.
Teens may go out with a group leader (minimum group size is 3 students). Students may also go out, in groups of 3 or more, without a group leader; however, they must return to their accommodations by 8:00pm. When with a group leader, students must return to their accommodations by or before the curfew time of 11:00pm, unless they are participating in a tour or activity organized by the school. Regardless of age, NO other exceptions will be made!

The Teenagers Abroad Chinese summer camp program in Beijing provides participants with sufficient time after the Chinese courses to learn more about China & Beijing, Chinese culture, traditions & customs, and everyday life in Beijing. During cultural/social activities and planned excursions, teens will experience cultural and social activities with their new international classmates. This provides them with the opportunity to practice their new Chinese language skills, as well as to make new friends.

Social Activities & Attractions in Beijing

During the Teenagers Abroad Chinese Summer Camp Program in Beijing, China teens will stay at the School Residence. Furthermore, our residence includes a restaurant, launderette, TV lounge and internet corner. Breakfast and dinner is served in the residence, for lunch you will get a hot lunch at the residence.

Arrival airport: Beijing, China
Beijing's international airport is located just outside of Beijing's downtown area. There are many convenient connections from the airport to other Asian cities.
Transfers from the airport are included on the day of arrival (Sunday) and on the day of departure (Saturday).
Passports / Visa / Length of stay:
Teens are responsible for arranging the necessary visas, passports and permits needed to study abroad in Beijing, China.

Flights:
Students are responsible to make all flight arrangements for travel to/from the Teenagers Abroad Chinese Summer Camp Program in Beijing, China.
Upon arrival at the closest airport to their Chinese Summer Camp Program in Beijing, one of our qualified airport chaperones will meet the teens and take them to their accommodation.
