SPANISH SUMMER CAMP FOR TEENAGERS - AGES 15 - 17

Spanish courses for all Spanish language skill levels can be booked at this summer camp for a duration of 2, 3 or more weeks from June through August.

With our supervised summer camp program, we offer Spanish courses on a supervised campus with a full program of chaperoned activities & tours. During this summer camp program, participants stay with a host family in Malaga and all of their meals are included.

Our Spanish Courses for Teenagers Summer Camp Program includes airport transfers (arrival Sunday, departure Saturday), insurance, emergency & pre-departure support, as well as a bilingual staff with a 1:15 staff to student ratio.

Malaga holds the heartbeat of Andalusia! Its fantastic location directly on the Mediterranean Sea and warm temperatures attracts countless tourists and students to Malaga each year. Besides the location and great weather, Malaga offers the most authentic Spanish cuisine in all of Spain!
Malaga is also very well-known for its interesting museums, wonderful botanical gardens and, of course, the legendary bullring. Their are also many markets and small, winding streets with shops that are inviting for strolling and window shopping. On weekends, students will take excursions to nearby breathtaking cities, such as Seville or Granada.

The Teenagers Abroad summer camp program in Malaga is located in the Pedregalejo district in a beautiful Andalusian villa. The villa has two magnificent outdoor patio areas and a roof terrace that are used to hold Spanish courses from time to time.
Malaga's town center is just 2 km from the language school and the beach is only 100 meters from the front door! Malaga is the perfect location for a Teenagers Abroad Summer Camp because it offers the confort and tranquility of the suburbs, as well as the liveliness of "El Palo".

Our summer camp program's language school offers students the following course options for Spanish Courses in Malaga:
• Standard Spanish Courses:
>> 20 lessons per week
• Intensive Spanish Courses:
>> 30 lessons per week
The Teenager Abroad Summer Camp Program includes:
• Spanish course size: 15 Students max.
• Spanish courses for all language levels - starting on Mondays
• Teachers are qualified & Spanish native speakers
• Language certificate given at the end of the summer camp program
International Student Body of the Spanish Courses in Malaga:
We expect that over 80% of students attending our Teenagers Abroad's Spanish courses in Malaga will be non-native English speakers from Europe, Asia, & Latin America (73% European countries, 10%+ other countries). The remaining students will be English native speakers from North America and/or the UK.
Receive Academic Credit:
It is not possible to receive transferable credits from Brookhaven College for taking Spanish courses at our summer camp program in Malaga. However, Teenagers Abroad does offer Spanish courses at other qualifying locations...

A typical day during our Summer Camp Program includes:
• Breakfast: 8:30 - 9:00am
• Spanish Courses: 9:00 - 10:30am
• Break: 10:30 - 11:00am
• Spanish Courses: 11:00 - 12:30pm
• Lunch: 12:30 - 2:00pm
• Organized sports, activities, workshops, etc: 2:00 - 4:00pm
• Free/ leisure time: 4:00 - 7:00pm
• Evening meal/ evening activities: 7:00 - 11:00pm
• Lights out: 11:00pm
Nightly curfew: 11:00 pm.
Students may go out with a group leader (minimum group size is 3 students). Students must return to their accommodations by or before the curfew time, unless they are participating in a tour or activity organized by the school. Regardless of age, NO other exceptions will be made!

The supervised activity summer camp program includes:
• Daily afternoon activities & sports
• Daily evening activities
• Weekly half day excursions
• Weekly full day excursions
• Optional weekend excursions
The Spanish summer camp program provides Spanish course participants in Malaga with sufficient time after courses to learn more about Spain, its culture, traditions, customs and everyday life.
During cultural/social activities and planned excursions, students will experience cultural and social activities with their new international classmates. This provides them with the opportunity to practice their newly acquired Spanish language skills, as well as to make new friends. Throughout all cultural & social activities and tours, course participants are encouraged to apply what they’ve learned in the Spanish courses.

At the Teenagers Abroad Summer Camp Program in Malaga, international Spanish course participants will stay in the following accommodations:
Host Family Accommodations:
• 2 bedded rooms
• 3 Meals (packed lunch) are provided daily
• Students travel to/from the language school using public transit
• Host families live 30 to 45 minutes from the language school
• Language school rules & curfews must be obeyed at all times

Arrival airport: Malaga
The Malaga airport (AGP) is located just outside of the city. The airport is well connected with Malaga, offering many train & bus connections, as well as taxi services to the downtown area.
Transfers from the airport are included on the day of arrival (Sunday) and on the day of departure (Saturday).
Passports / Visa / Length of stay:
Students are responsible to arrange for all visas, passports and permits needed to study abroad in Spain.

Flights:
Students are responsible to make all flight arrangements for travel to/from their summer camp program in Malaga.
Upon arrival at the airport in Malaga, one of our qualified airport chaperones will meet the student and take him/her to their accommodations.

To enroll in the summer camp program in Malaga, the following from each Spanish course participant is required. Students under the age of 18 must have forms signed by parents or legal guardians; students ages 18 and older may enroll directly.

• Under Age Waiver Form for Teenagers
• All health conditions that require special attention or special diets must be disclosed.
