Originally named Xaman-Ha (Waters of the North) Playa del Carmen is a living vibrant part of the Maya World (Mundo Maya).

Located on the beautiful Mexican Caribbean coast, some 40 miles (60 km) south of Cancun, Playa del Carmen (as it is now affectionately known) is the perfect base from which to explore the fascinating sites along the newly named, Mayan Riviera.

Playa del Carmen is a beautiful & safe place to spend your summer, blessed with miles of unspoiled white sandy beaches, crystal-clear Caribbean waters and an impressive cultural heritage. The city offers easy access to the magnificent Mayan ruins, such as Chichen Itza, Tulum, and Uxmal.

Our brand new, contemporary Spanish Language Campus offers state-of-the-art accommodation and leisure facilities. The new campus is magnificently located 3.5 blocks from the beach.

This "All-Inclusive Club for Teens" will offer spacious new classrooms (in and outdoors), 60 self-catering apartments (each with kitchenette, ensuite bathroom, fan, a/c, 3-4 beds), on-campus restaurant and fitness center, and a beautiful outdoor swimming pool!

Playa is small enough that most students may conveniently walk to get around. If needed, bus and inexpensive taxis are available (approximately 15-20 Mexican pesos per trip, within the city of Playa del Carmen), or students can rent bicycles for their stay.

Standard Spanish program: 4 group lessons daily

Program includes:
Class size: 12 Students max. (average 10)
Course accepts all language levels - starting Monday
Taught by qualified native speaking teachers
Language certificate at end of program

"A TYPICAL DAY" 8.30 - 9.30am: Breakfast
9.30 - 12.30am: Spanish classes
12.30 - 2.00pm: Lunch
2.00 - 4.00pm: Organized sports / activities / workshops / etc
4.00 - 7.00pm: Free time
7.00 - 11.00pm: Evening meal followed by evening activities
11.00pm: Lights out!

"CURFEW RULES" Sunday to Saturday: 11:00 pm
All students should be back at their accommodation by the above curfew times except when they are on an organized tour or activity. NO Exceptions can be made; NO matter of their age.

Supervised activity program includes:
Activity and sports program most afternoons
Evening activities most evenings
1-2 cooking, dance or yoga classes per week
One half day excursion per week
One full day excursion per week
Volunteer work at a local non-profit organization
Optional excursions on weekends

After classes are over for the day, our program allows students plenty of time for sports, cultural and social activities. It also allows the students to make new international friends among their new classmates, experience cultural activities together and practice their new language.

3 Meals daily are provided (packed lunch)

The following is required for enrollment in a program and must be signed by the parents or legal guardians of the teenager, students may only enroll directly if 18 or older.

A non-refundable deposit of $300.00

We must be informed of any health conditions requiring special attention or special diets

Arrival airport: CANCUN
There are direct flights from most major cities to Cancun International Airport, which is just 60km (40 miles) north of Playa del Carmen. By taxi, the journey from the airport to Playa should take less than 1 hour (approx 50 minutes) to Playa del Carmen.

Airport transfers are included on the Sunday Arrival day & Saturday Departure day

Passports / Visa / Length of stay: It is the participant's responsibility to have a valid passport and any necessary visas and permits to study abroad.

Flights
Independently, students will arrange flights and travel to their program destination. Upon arrival, they will be met by one of our qualified airport chaperones and taken to their accommodation. During travel days, students will have access to a 24 hour emergency hotline, should they have any questions, require support or wish to advise us of flight delays!
