>> Dates 2010
To get a sense of how big, diverse and magical Toronto is, the best place to start is the CN Tower, the tallest freestanding structure in the world. From this vantage point, students get a bird's-eye-view of the city's striking skyline and unique geography.
In addition to being an important cultural and commercial centre, Toronto is also a city that is home to many ethnicities. The city's population is more than 5 million people, and its residents come from all around the world and from all various ethnic backgrounds.
On any given day, and in most areas of the city, dozens of different languages can be heard on the streets, from Hindi to Greek to French. This, perhaps, explains why former Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau once said that Canada is really more a mosaic of cultures and languages than a melting pot.
The Toronto Islands, just a 10 minute ferry ride, offer eight tree-lined islands and more than a dozen smaller islets that sit in Lake Ontario just off the city's downtown.
Finally visit the most beautiful of the world's wonders - Niagara Falls, just a short bus ride away!
Additional school information with photos & maps
Choose between these two course options:
After classes are over for the day, our program allows the student plenty of time for sports, cultural and social activities. It also allows the student to make new international friends among their new classmates, experience cultural activities together and practice their new language.
Students stay in our school residence located close to the Ryerson University campus, located just 10 - 15 minutes walking distance from our school.
The residence is nicely furnished, each bedroom offers private or shared rooms, a wardrobe, desk and chair. Each student has a personal key to their room and students are under supervision at the residence, as the monitors will stay on the same floor as the students.
Breakfast & evening meal are enjoyed in the residence cafeteria, lunches are a packed lunch and usually consist of sandwiches with one piece of fruit and bottled water - usually enjoyed in the school garden.
The following is required for enrollment in a program and must be signed by the parents or legal guardians of the teenager, students may only enroll directly if 18 or older.
