Spend your summer in TORONTO
Learning English with a full schedule of sports, leisure, cultural activities and excursions with other international students of the same age....

With its colourful ethnic mix, rich history and breathtaking architecture, Toronto offers non-stop adventures for the willing tourist.

To get a sense of how big, diverse and magical Toronto is, the best place to start is the CN Tower, the tallest freestanding structure in the world. From this vantage point, students get a bird's-eye-view of the city's striking skyline and unique geography.

In addition to being an important cultural and commercial centre, Toronto is also a city that is home to many ethnicities. The city's population is more than 5 million people, and its residents come from all around the world and from all various ethnic backgrounds.

On any given day, and in most areas of the city, dozens of different languages can be heard on the streets, from Hindi to Greek to French. This, perhaps, explains why former Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau once said that Canada is really more a mosaic of cultures and languages than a melting pot.

The Toronto Islands, just a 10 minute ferry ride, offer eight tree-lined islands and more than a dozen smaller islets that sit in Lake Ontario just off the city's downtown.

Finally visit the most beautiful of the world's wonders - Niagara Falls, just a short bus ride away!

Come and enjoy your summer in Toronto, it has so much to offer!

Located downtown and only a short walk from the majority of Toronto's many attractions, our school occupies a building built in the 1870s in a historic part of the city known affectionately as 'Cabbagetown', in downtown Toronto!

The school has been fully modernized, featuring bright, cool colours with lots of art work, a grand central staircase, modern classrooms with high ceilings, a beautiful private garden and full facilities for study and recreation.

School facilities include:
8 bright large classrooms (with AC)
Large, open reception area with CD
Lounge with Cable TV/DVD
Free internet access in computer lab
Library (public library 2 minutes walk)
Private & spacious outdoor terrace with & BBQ
Student kitchen
Student eating area for snacks

Our large and private school garden is a popular hangout for students between classes. Many of our social activities will take place in the garden including BBQ evenings! Classes are held outside on hot summer days!

Additional school information with photos & maps

This program is an excellent option for English learning school groups of 10 or more students travelling and study together. For more information on our Teenagers Abroad Groups Services and Options, please click on this link: GroupsAbroad.com

English summer program: (20 lessons per week)
- max of 15 students per class

The first day of the program is dedicated to welcome students, to test students' language levels and to make sure everyone is familiar with the school policies, the premises and the area.

On the first day of school a placement test is administered to determine the student's level of English. This way, students can start lessons straight away after they have been placed at the appropriate level. If a student is an absolute beginner, they do not have to take a test, and they can start lessons immediately.

After classes are over for the day, our program allows the student plenty of time for sports, cultural and social activities. It also allows the student to make new international friends among their new classmates, experience cultural activities together and practice their new language.

Activities could include: Pick up soccer games, night outs in Toronto, BBQ's in the school garden, Student parties, Walking tours, trips to museums, sightseeing tours, game nights, the world-famous CN Tower, baseball or basketball!

Day or weekend excursions

Residence: (shared rooms) with 3 meals daily.

Students stay in our school residence located close to the Ryerson University campus, located just 10 - 15 minutes walking distance from our school.

The residence is nicely furnished, each bedroom offers shared rooms with 2/3 beds per room, a wardrobe, desk and chair. Each student has a personal key to their room and students are under supervision at the residence, as the monitors will stay on the same floor as the students.

Breakfast & evening meal are enjoyed in the residence cafeteria, lunches are a packed lunch and usually consist of sandwiches with one piece of fruit and bottled water - usually enjoyed in the school garden.
