Spend your summer in VIENNA
the cultural center of Austria and enjoy a full schedule of sports, leisure, cultural activities and excursions with other international students of the same age....

Vienna is an attractive city known for its cultural and educational institutions. During the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries, it was the musical capital of the world and the home of many famous composers, including Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven.

Today, Vienna remains a city of strong musical heritage and is home to the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, the Vienna State Opera, and the Music Conservatory. It also boasts numerous museums and art galleries, including the Kunsthistorisches Museum (Museum of Art History), and outstanding schools and scientific organizations. Yet Vienna remains a relaxed and remarkably comfortable city.

Vienna is also a city of numerous museums and art galleries, including the Kunsthistorisches Museum (Museum of Art History), and outstanding schools and scientific organizations. Yet Vienna remains a relaxed and remarkably comfortable city.

The world-famous coffee houses allow visitors to relax over pastries topped with “Schlag” (whipped cream). Though Vienna may seem straight-laced and gracefully aloof, it frequently lets its longhair tradition down-and nowhere as freely as at the Heuriger in Grinzing, or in the "Bermuda Triangle", in mid-city.

This program has been designed for students who would like to learn German but also enjoy a schedule of activities in and around Vienna. The program allows the student to mix with other international students from around the world and local students, of the same age.

Our summer program is held in a prestigious school, founded by Empress Maria Theresa it is located within it's own large campus with excellent facilities.

The building and grounds was once a former summer residence of Emperor Karl VI, the father of Maria Theresa. Today it is a beautiful school and the grounds are now used for recreational use including: football pitches, sport grounds, beach volleyball and tennis courts.

The school is centrally located in Vienna with the famous sights only a walk away or within easy reach on public transport. The school residence is also located on campus.

School facilities include:
30+ bright large classrooms
Many social areas / snack bar / TV room
Small class sizes max 15 students
Internet access in computer lab
School cafeteria
Excellent sport facilities on campus grounds

This program is an excellent option for school closed groups of 10 or more students travelling and studying together. For more information on our Teenagers Abroad Groups Services and Options, please click on this link: GroupsAbroad.com

Standard program: 4 group lessons daily
Intensive program: 6 group lessons daily

Students practice grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and oral comprehension in systematically structured lessons. Emphasis is placed on language in real-life situations outside the school, using communication and language games and students work in groups and pairs.

Students of similar age are divided into the following age groups for language study and for social and cultural activities:
Group 1: from 12 to 14 years
Group 2: from 15 to 17 years

Classes are taught by qualified teachers who are native speakers of the language. They use the "communicative method" of teaching which combines all aspects and skills of language learning including: grammar, conversation, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, listening and writing, in an interactive way. This method makes learning a language interesting, relevant, memorable and...fun.

This is attained with the help of teaching materials that have been specially designed and developed for each age group.

After classes are over for the day, our program allows the student plenty of time for our optional sports, cultural and social activities. It also allows the student to make new international friends among their new classmates, experience cultural activities together and practice their new language skills in real life situations.

STUDENT FEEDBACK

""I had an amazing time in Vienna.

Classes were good and the people were great. I'm glad my first time in Europe was such a memorable one. Vienna is a beautiful city. The school was pretty on the outside. The teachers were nice. The food was awful however, I skipped lunch at the school several days.

Understand that the food served will be different than what you are used to. Look up information about the city you will be staying in. Make sure your converters will work if you need them. I thought the staff was very nice.

The website also had a nice layout that was easy to comprehend and easy to find information"
Stephanie M. (Age: 16)
Program: Vienna, Austria
