Includes: 2 meals daily, private room, limited formal supervision, students will travel to/from the school on their own every day - normally by public transit.

LEVEL OF SUPERVISION
The Host Family option is designed for mature, independent thinking teenagers who enjoy and handle limited individual supervision, traveling to/from school, after class and on the weekends.

Important Note: Airport transfers are NOT included in the program price due the many arrival options & transfers. The nearest airport to Kanazawa is Komatsu airport (40 minutes) which only has domestic flights. Should you decide to transfer and fly into Komatsu, we can arrange an airport pick-up $190 one way

However we recommend the following arrival details to all our students and share travel info with other participants (if required) so students can either travel together or meet on route.

We suggest you fly into Osaka Kansai International Airport and then travel by train to the JR Kanazawa station. This will take approx. 4 hours and cost approx $100 USD each way. Upon arrival catch a taxi to your homestay family approx. $10 to $40 US each way by taxi.
