Live & Learn Junior Program in Canada

Teenagers will have a fun & exciting French language holiday with our Live & Learn Junior Program in Canada!

Learn French - Study Abroad - French Courses

The Teenagers Abroad Live & Learn Junior Program in Canada combines the supervision and safety of a home stay with our French language immersion expertise. A lot like our Live & Learn programs for adults, students between the ages of 12 - 18 will live and study in their own personal French teacher’s home. By doing so, students will learn French as effectively as possible because they will actually “live the language” as they enjoy an educational French language holiday in Canada!

This style of French language learning is much different than traditional French courses. Students will wake up each morning and be instantly consumed with the French language. They will be speaking French in just about everything they do while living and studying abroad in Canada, such as eating breakfast with their Canadian host family, watching TV, playing sports, etc…

Students will also have a structured French course to follow. It is the combination of the French courses, daily conversations and social activities in a foreign language that allows for this method of full language immersion to be effective. By the end of the program, students will have a true insight into the French language and Canada’s lifestyle.

French Course Structure:
Students can choose between 15, 20 or 25 hours of French private lessons per week. Students can then choose how many weeks they wish to participate in our Live & Learn Junior program in Canada. Prices vary by duration, weekly lessons of French courses and the desired destination within Canada. Click here for more information on Live & Learn Junior pricing and fees.

Our Clients in Canada:
Deciding whether this course is right for you or your child typically depends more on character than age. Participants in this program are generally well-traveled, adventurous, mature children, who have the desire, confidence and ability to travel on their own.

Locations:
Generally, participants are housed in the suburbs or outskirts of the chosen Canadian city. Homes are normally in residential neighborhoods and owned/occupied by middle class Canadian families. Though homes are outside of the city, public transit is always accessible to the students. This way, students have the possibility to access the city center, railway stations and airports easily whenever necessary.

Supervision:
24 hour supervision of the teen or child in the Live & Learn Junior in Canada will result in an additional “Cocooning” fee, which must be paid in addition to the French Live & Learn Junior program's tuition. This service is required for the French language students who are under 18 years old and is optional for those older. However, the French teachers and members of the Canadian host families are not obligated to spend ‘all’ of their time with the teen student. The host family members in Canada will spend a considerable amount of time with the participant, just as they would if a close friend came from abroad stayed in their home in Canada.
