The Teenagers Abroad Live & Learn Junior Chinese Immersion Programs for high school students in China combines the supervision and safety of a home stay with our Chinese language immersion expertise. As is the case with our Chinese Live & Learn Chinese immersion programs for adults, high school students between the ages of 12 - 18 will live and study in the home of their personal Chinese teacher. This allows students to learn Chinese as effectively as possible because they will actually “live the language” while they experience an Chinese language holiday in China!

This type of Chinese immersion programs are very different to traditional Chinese courses. Each morning, students will wake up and be completely surrounded by the Chinese language. Participants will be listening to and speaking Chinese in just about everything they do while they live and study abroad in China, such as eating meals with their host family, watching movies/TV, playing sports, etc…

Students will also participate in structured Chinese courses within their Chinese immersion programs. It is the unique combination of Chinese courses, daily conversations with native speakers and social activities in Chinese that allow for this method of full language immersion to be so efficient and effective. By the end of the Live & Learn Junior Chinese immersion programs, students will have a true insight into the Chinese language and China’s fascinating lifestyle.

Chinese Course Structure: 
Students can choose Chinese immersion programs of 15, 20 or 25 hours of private lessons in Chinese per week. Students can then choose how many weeks they wish to participate in the Live & Learn Junior Chinese immersion programs. Our Clients:
Deciding whether this style of Chinese immersion programs are right for you or your child generally depends more on the high school student's character than his/her age. Participants in this program are typically well-traveled, mature, adventurous high school students, who have the ability, desire and confidence to study abroad and travel on their own.

Locations in China:
Generally, participants in the China Live & Learn Junior Chinese program are housed in the suburbs or outskirts of the selected city in China. Homes are normally in residential neighborhoods and occupied by upper/middle class Chinese families. Though homes are usually outside of the city, public transportation is generally easily accessible to the students. This way, students have the possibility to access the railway stations, airports, and city center whenever they wish to do so during their Chinese immersion programs.

Supervision:
For 24 hour supervision of the child while in China, there will be a “Cocooning” fee, which will be additional to the Live & Learn Junior Chinese immersion program's tuition. This service is required for those  students who are under 18 years old and optional for those who are older. Please be aware that teachers and members of host families are not obliged to spend ‘all’ of their time with the student. The host will spend a considerable amount of time with the student, just as they would if a close friend came to visit them in their home.

During specific organized activities on the Teenagers Abroad Chinese immersion programs, we guarantee that high school students will be supervised at all times by either their teacher, host family member or other adult staff members. Our Live & Learn Junior program in China is very professional with strict guidelines and procedures that our staff must follow. We guarantee that students will be paired with the best possible Chinese teacher or family based on the participant's personal information, needs and desires. If the student feels uncomfortable or is not getting along with the assigned host family at any time during the program, we can relocate them immediately without any problems. Furthermore, parents are always more than happy to know that all of our language teachers are fully qualified and experienced in extensive child supervision and care.
