Booking Your Flights:
Most students make arrangement to fly alone or with a close friend to their chosen program / destination. Airfare is not included in any of our programs and must always be arranged independently by participants.
We recommend that our clients book their flights as soon as they are confirmed to be in a Teenagers Abroad program, which is done by us sending a ‘confirmation email’. Also, it would be best to book a flight with as few layovers and connections as possible. Flying with a direct flight may be just a little more expensive; however, they are well worth it because of the peace of mind and ease of travel that they provide.
Some of our students (under 14 years old) will be traveling as an ‘unaccompanied minor’. This service ensures that your child is cared for during his/her flight by a qualified airline staff member. Services include: escorting the child from the gate to the plane, assisting the child to board the flight, ensuring that the child is in his/her assigned seat on the plane, escorting the child to the baggage claim area upon arrival at his/her final destination, helping the child through customs and ensuring that the child meets with designated staff member from Teenagers Abroad at the nearest airport to his/her language immersion program.
